Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for Fall Internships

International students must have completed at least three consecutive quarters in the program to be eligible for Fall internships during their last quarter of study. Incoming MCS students are not eligible.

• In order for international students to intern in their final Fall quarter, ALL of the following requirements must be met:
• The student meets all CPT eligibility criteria outlined by UCI International Center;
• The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at the end of the Spring quarter;
• The student will take a maximum of three courses in the Fall;
• The internship is 20 hours or less;
• The company is local and/or student can work remotely; and
• MCS Faculty Director and Program Director must approve the request.

After the requirements are confirmed, the student will be granted access to enroll in CS 298P Computer Science Practicum in the Fall for CPT.
